Wool over shirts instead of coats were extremely common with workers especially lumberjackets from the 1890s all the way through the 1920s. Over shirts were liked by workers because they provided both warmth and easy range of motion. This shirt is based off a period tailors draft and includes such details as yoked back, button cuffs, collarless or collared and long body. Available in houndstooth as pictured or solid colored flannels(blue, brown, grey). If you have any questions or interested in different details for the shirt please ask!
Every item made on this website are handmade by me. I do the entire process from beginning to the end. I select all fabric, draft every pattern, and sew every item. Due to the time involved in this process since most every item is made to order it is a time consuming process. Depending on my work load it can take upwards of 1 to 2 months depending on the garment made. I work to get the finished product to you as quickly as possible. If you have a time constraint please feel free contact me to see my current turn around time.
